The Foundation will reach out to the Winnetka community with two major annual events: the Phone-A-Thon and the Carlson Event. The Phone-A-Thon is the Foundation’s major fundraiser, while the Carlson Event offers community members an opportunity to see their donations at work in Winnetka’s public schools.
WPSF will hold it's annual Phone-A-Thon on Sunday, February 24th, 2019. We thank you in advance for your generous support!

The Phone-A-Thon is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. Donations received from the Phone-A-Thon fund innovative pilot programs, extensions to the core curriculum, and other exciting efforts in Winnetka's District 36. Your donations make it possible for Winnetka's students to receive an education that goes above and beyond what is possible through tax dollars alone. Every donation, regardless of size, makes an impact!
The annual Carlson Event allows the Foundation to educate the community about the types of grants we fund and the work this allows our educators to do. This event allows parents and educators to interact so that parents come away with a clearer understanding of what the Foundation does, and educators can get a sense of what is important to parents in the district. This event was enabled by a generous gift left to the Foundation in 2002 by Charlotte Carlson, a long time educator in the Winnetka Public School System. The annual Carlson Event is an opportunity for community members to see Foundation grants in action. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, January 17th 2019, at the Garden Room in the Winnetka Community House. District 36 educators will showcase how Foundation grants enable them to create exciting learning opportunities for their students. The Foundation is also thrilled to be hosting Trung Le, a world renowned educational architect, who will speak to the importance of learning space design as the "third teacher". At the same time, attendees can enjoy conversation, a glass of wine, and delicious hors-d’oeuvres. We look forward to seeing you there!
