Introducing What I Need (WIN) Grants for Teachers
Launching October 1st
Last year, in honor of our 30th year, the Winnetka Public Schools Foundation (WPSF) piloted a new idea: awarding 30 microgrants of up to $500 each to teachers. The program was such a success that we’re bringing it back as the What I Need (WIN) Grant Program with a $10,000 commitment to support teacher-driven innovation.
Starting October 1st, teachers can apply for WIN Grants of up to $500, approved on a first-come, first-served basis. These microgrants help educators quickly adapt to a new school year and bring creative ideas and new projects into classrooms—without delay.
And here’s where you come in: every donation made in October grows this fund beyond $10,000, putting more resources directly into classrooms.
Because when teachers WIN, students—and our whole community—WIN!
Top 4 Reasons Why WPSF
Loves ‘What I Need’ Microgrants:
Real-time ideas, real-time grants. Teachers can enhance their current curriculum and be funded within the same trimester.
Quick & Simple Application. We know teachers are busy, so we’ve teamed up with Dr. Becky Mathison, Assistant Superintendent of Innovation, Teaching & Learning, to create an easy, streamlined web form.
Start Small, Scale Big. Microgrants let teachers test and learn within their curriculum. Top ideas can be scaled across classrooms and schools in future grant cycles.
Ongoing Support for Innovative Learning. While our larger grants fund our bigger initiatives, microgrants fuel continuous innovation in classrooms throughout the year.
